Replacement 12 volt LED bulbs let you save power by simply changing out your bulbs. When you replace your 12 volt light bulbs with 12 volt LED light bulbs you not only save a lot of energy, you also reduce heat in your boat or RV. A real life example: LED lights versus halogen lights.
12 volt LEDs can also save a lot of stress on your battery, as
LEDs typically use at least 80% less energy than a filament bulb for
the same lumens (amount of light output). Our LED bulbs range from as
low as 15 lumens to as high as 425 lumens (as of September 2012). On most

* Notes:1. Many of the Bee Green 12 volt LED Bulbs contain a thermistor fuse, which may limit dim-abiity with some prior generation dimmers. The Elwood FriLight 12 volt LED Dimmers have been designed to dim these 12 volt LED bulbs and 24 volt LED bulbs, as well as most other 12 volt LED bulbs. LED bulbs require a constant current dimmer (like the Elwood FriLight LED Dimmer) to dim smoothly across the entire range. 3. 12 volt LED bulbs are generally not polarity sensitive, whereas some 12 volt led lights and 12 volt LED rope lights may be polarity sensitive. ALWAYS check the product specifications to be sure before connecting. 4. Voltage range: Most of our 12 volt LED bulbs are also usable as 24 volt LED bulbs (the voltage range is generally from 10 volts dc to 30 volts dc - confirm the specifications on the individual products). These DC LED bulbs are for battery-centric applications like boats, rv's, and solar applications operating in the 10 to 30 volt dc range.
Wattage Comparisons are usually offered for each of our LED bulbs to help guide you in choosing replacements for your halogen, Xenon and incandescent bulbs. LED bulb comparisons are to be used as a guideline. Simply stated - incandescent, halogen and Xenon bulbs all have initial lumens outputs which vary by manufacturer, and also degrade with use. Furthermore, the current lumens output of your old bulbs is likely unknown, and there is not a simple way to measure. Additionally, conversion of lumens to wattage is not a direct science. Values shown reflect the luminous efficacy [Wikipedia link] as follows: 16 for halogen, 7 for incandescent and 16 for MR bulbs. The fixture lens and the reflector (if your fixture has either) may also be factors in determining desired results.
