Beware, 12 Volt LED Dimmers can be uniquely designed to power specific 12 Volt LEDs. In other words, your 12 Volt LED Dimmer may be designed to drive only one specific type of LED circuit, and may not work with just "any" LED. This can get technical, and is based on the compatibility between the dimmer and the LED bulb, which is an electronic device, not a simple filament.

Using an LED bulb with a dimmer (designed for filament bulbs) that varies the voltage may provide erratic LED dimming, and may dim the LED down to about 50% and then drop abruptly to darkness. This may be especially true with higher quality LED bulbs, such as those equipped with transient suppression and fusing. LED bulbs require the current to be controlled, unlike the filament bulbs. Irreparable damage may occur if you use incompatible products together, so if an LED says it requires a specific dimmer, please heed that warning.

So, in order to ensure compatibility, you can simply use 12 Volt LED Dimmers with 12 Volt LED Fixtures that are listed as compatible. For your convenience, we generally provide links from our various 12 Volt LED Fixtures to their known compatible 12 Volt LED Dimmers (sometimes you may need to go up the breadcrumb trail one notch to the product category page to find the dimmer compatibility).
