This 1/2" diameter LED Rope Light is being discontinued by our supplier, in order to streamline operations. The brightness and the power consumption of the 1/2" diameter and the 3/8" diameter are the same. The 3/8 is thinner and therefore lighter and  easier to use, is more flexible, is the same brightness and has the same longevity, so there seems to be no need to carry both diameters. The 3/8 currently sells for $5.70/foot. The 1/2 is on sale for $3.50/foot. While supplies last. Order below

Installation Note: LED rope lighting contains diodes that allow the electricity to flow in one direction only. Because of this, when you hook up power to the LED rope lighting, it may not illuminate. If this is the case, disconnect the power and reconnect it to the other end of the LED rope lighting. Before you install your LED rope lights, connect the power and verify illumination. Then as you do your installation, beware of which end you need to feed the power to.

LED Rope Lights  are very efficient and produce very little heat. Another advantage to LED Rope Lights - LED's have no filament to break. LED's generally last 30,000 to 50,000 or more hours. LED Rope Lighting is the longest lasting rope lighting available. LED's, being the better product, are more expensive. Beware: cool white LED's (the color temperature is called cool white), may have a blue cast when illuminated. The LED rope light we currently carry is made with cool white LED's. (Warm white LED Rope Lights are anticipated in March or April 2007). This is sometimes considered harsh white, as with fluorescent lighting. The recommended air temperature for LED rope light is -4 degrees to 122 degrees Fahrenheit.
