Swedish & English)

Install an 8 amp fuse for 12
volt operation, or a 4 amp fuse for 24 volt operation. Fuse and
fuse holder not included. Subject to change - refer to
manufacturers instructions in manual:
D1224 Dimmer Manual
WIRING NOTE: This
dimmer does not control the power to the load (it is not in
series between the power source and the load), but rather it
controls the return side of the load by being in series between
the load and ground. There are 3 connections to this dimmer:
-
Ground;
-
+ 12 volts or + 24
volts, which you also feed to your lamps;
-
"Lower voltage side" of
the lamps (which must not be grounded) - this is neither hot
nor ground. The dimmer controls the down side of the load, not
the hot side.
For an
"easier-to-wire" 12 volt dimmer, choose the
Rotary Style
D1201 2 wire dimmer
Power:
Required power input for this DC Dimmer is
from 10 to 32 Volts DC.
If the power input to the D1224 DC Dimmer
Switch is from 10 to 16 Volts, the unit will operate as a 12
Volt Dimmer. If the power input to the DC Dimmer Switch is 20 to
32 volts, the unit will operate as a 24 Volt Dimmer.
D1224
Dimmer Switch maximum power output is 100 Watts, but the
recommended load is 70 Watts
maximum (i.e. seven lamps at 10 watts each).
Controls: The
D1224 Dimmer Switch has 2 button controls and 2 LED
indicators.
On/Off:
A brief press on the UP
key will start an automatic fade-up to 100%
on. Similarly, there will be a
fade-down to 0% light level after
briefly pressing the DOWN key.
Dimmer Function:
There are 4 pre-set light levels. If either the UP or DOWN key
is pressed for more than 1 second, the light level will be
manually adjusted for as long as the key is pressed. While
fading, there will be stops for approximately 3 seconds at the
25% and 50% light levels. At light levels below 15%, the
dimmer will cut off.
Under-Voltage and Over-Voltage Protection: Built-in
protection automatically cuts off supply voltage if too low or
too high. For 12 volt usage, cutoff occurs below 10 volts or
above 16 volts. For 24 volt usage, cutoff occurs below 20 volts
or above 32 volts.
Short-Circuit Protection: Built in short-circuit
protection reduces output voltage if the load exceeds 100 watts.
During short-circuiting, the dimmer will cut off the output.
CE
mark is valid provided dimmer is connected directly to an
electric panel or battery by it's own fuse. |
