The Hatteras Power LED

The Hatteras PowerLED is a high flux LED spot with wide-flood light beam characteristics and ultra slim trim ring profile, making it ideal for low to medium ceiling heights or efficient under-cabinet lighting.

Its shallow housing allows placement within ceilings that have limited air space behind.

The Hatteras PowerLED is also completely sealed and is a popular choice for exterior mounting in FRP hard-tops for nighttime cockpit and helm illumination.

A built-in dimmer interface allows for effortless touch-control dimming of up to 15 Hatteras PowerLED's using the Imtra IML PowerLED PWM Dimmer.

What is an LED Converter?

When using LED lights on DC power that is converted from AC Power, you may experience noise or fluctuations in intensity. This is typically caused by non-smooth power characteristics (such as sine wave influence). This can usually be resolved with an LED Converter. An LED converter not only converts AC to DC, it also smoothes out the wave (provides superior voltage regulation), so your LED's get what they need in a regulated dosage.

The bottom line is, if your power source is noisy (such as if it was converted from AC instead of being sourced from a battery or solar cell), you may find an LED Converter is the best solution (not all transformers / power supplies are of the same caliber). LED converters are designed specifically to power LED's.
 

PowerLED Wiring:
Red Wire, Black Wire: Power Inputs (Either wire may accept positive or negative polarity).
White Wire: Dimming Input Signal.
Gray Wire: Dimming Return. Connect the Dim-Return (gray wire) of the dimmer to the Dim-Return (gray wire) of the IML PowerLED.
