1. IML Top System
- Face Plates
(A switch plate that covers the edges of the box around perimeter of
the switches and receptacles when installed in a
Standard Mounting Box or
3-Gang
Semi-Surface Mount Stand Off Box) |
|
Available as 1-gang,
2-gang,
3-gang, 4-gang or 6-gang setups
(1, 2 and 3-gang all use the 3-gang box) |
3-gang Setup shown (switches,
receptacles, boxes and mounting grids are available
separately / not included with face plate). The smallest
STANDARD box size is a 3-gang box (can also use for 1 and 2
gang setups - the face plate covers the extra space or
you can insert blanks
for later use).
Boxes can vary for new construction or retrofit.

Watertight Face Plates and
Watertight Enclosures, a
mounting
grid and face plate are integral and are not required
separately, so the switches and receptacles are readily
accepted. For
Specialty Boxes,
the mounting grid and face plate are integral (molded in) on
the 1-gang and 2-gang boxes, whereas the 3-gang surface
mount box requires them to be added. In other words, the switches and
receptacles are readily accepted on the 1-gang and 2-gang
Specialty Boxes,
but not the 3-gang.
