Excellent for replacing inefficient and
unreliable incandescent bulbs in many common
light fixtures used on today's sailing yachts.
This is the highest output LED tower
cluster available for marine use.
It uses 18 surface mount cool-white (SMD)
LEDs arrayed in 6 planes for 360° visibility.
Proprietary PWM Constant-Current chipset
results in high performance across the entire 8-30VDC
range.
Cool White is recommended behind clear
lenses because it has a higher luminous output than
Warm White.
NOTE: For use behind colored
lenses, warm white is recommended.
This item is only offered in cool white. An option
is
IMT-ILTW1142-SMW
Tower LED, however the side pins on it are level, not
offset.

Fits Aqua Signal
Series 40, 41, 42 and 50,
as well as Hella 2984 and Perko 200 Fixtures
(clear lens fixtures only). Replaces Aqua Signal
bulb #90005, Hella bulb #78290 and Perko
bulb #037512V10W.

tested and approved as a fixture with the original
equipment source (bulb) already installed. The operator of
any vessel assumes all liability when using this product
as a replacement for the original approved light source.

USCG, COLREG, or any other navigational lighting standards

What is an LED Converter?
When using LED lights on DC power that is
converted from AC Power, you may
experience noise or fluctuations in intensity. This is typically caused by
non-smooth power characteristics (such as sine wave influence). This can usually be
resolved with an LED Converter. An LED converter not only converts AC to
DC, it also smoothes out the wave (provides superior voltage regulation),
so your LED's get what they need in a regulated dosage.
The bottom line is, if your power source is
noisy (such as if it
was converted from AC instead of being sourced from a battery or solar
cell), you may find an LED Converter is the best solution (not all
transformers / power supplies are of the same caliber).
LED converters are designed
specifically to power LED's.
