Standard LED Rope Lights
(3/8" diameter)
are a modern alternative to incandescent lighting. LED Rope Lights are very efficient
and produce very little heat. Another advantage to LED Rope Lights
- LED's have no filament to break.
LED's generally last 30,000 to
50,000 or more hours. LED Rope Lighting is the longest lasting
rope lighting available. LED's, being the better product, are more
expensive. The recommended air temperature for LED rope light is
-4 degrees to 122 degrees Fahrenheit.

Beware: LED's are made with
warm white LED's
or
cool white LED's (the
color temperature is called warm white or cool white). Cool white
LED's often have a blue cast when illuminated.
This
is sometimes considered harsh white, as with fluorescent lighting.
Depending on
your application, most people prefer WARM white LED's.
Installation Note:
Before
you install your LED rope lights, connect the power and verify
illumination. Then as you do your installation, beware of which
end you need to feed the power to. Why? LED rope lighting contains
diodes that allow the electricity to flow in one direction only.
Because of this, when you hook up power to the LED rope lighting,
it may not illuminate. If this is the case, disconnect the power
and reconnect it to the other end of the LED rope lighting.

LED Rope Lights are sold "a la cart". Order the appropriate
footage of rope light, then order the accessories that you need to
compete your installation. Note that the rope lights are
encased in PVC tubes, with NO pigtails. Connection is made
by inserting pins into the end of the rope light - The
Power Cords that we offer contain the appropriate pins. A
pictorial overview follows.

regulated power conditions or power subject to transient
