you can pop popcorn in a small microwave oven (low wattage).
Even the
smallest microwave ovens
- Tappan models TM5030B, TM5030W and TM5050S (0.5 cubic
feet), will pop popcorn just fine. You will, however, need
to be a bit more patient if you are used to using a full
size microwave, which have a lot more power output (such as
a large "over the range" microwave oven).
For
example, a 1450 watt microwave oven may have an output power
(cooking power) of 1000 W; however, an 850 W microwave oven
only has an output power (cooking power) of 550 W. What does
this mean? It will take longer to do the same job.
