At SailorSams, the math is easy! Except as noted*, if your SailorSams order total is $100 or more you get free shipping!* (excluding any applicable sales tax - we collect sales tax on shipments to Florida). Orders less than $100, shipping is just 8 bucks.* Order Processing and Shipping time estimates

*Continental USA only (outside continental USA**, additional freight charges apply). Normal "ground" shipping methods only. Shipping can be to one street address only. Ground deliveries cannot be made to PO boxes.

*Certain heavy or large items may incur a surcharge (this will be noted on the product page for any such product and will be included in the price).

Deliveries to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Canada and elsewhere

Please request a shipping quote request by selecting your products and quantities (adding them to the shopping cart), and then proceed toward check out, and submit your shipping address as prompted for a quote request. Supplier warehouses typically ship by UPS or FedEx (UPS to foreign destinations), and NOT by postal. You are welcome to have us ship to a friend or relative in the continental US, who can then send by postal to you.

Customers in foreign destinations will likely incur additional fees before or after delivery, for customs/duties charged by your government, as well as shipping company broker fees. We cannot calculate these. It is YOUR responsibility to pay any such fees. Also, some of our supplier warehouses will not ship to certain areas or countries, and those who do may change their policy at any time. You are welcome to call to inquire about products you are interested in.

RUSH ORDERS

Extra freight cost will be applicable. RUSH ORDERS ARE DISCOURAGED. Some items actually need assembled and tested before they can ship. Other items may need polished. Some warehouses charge a fee for rush orders. If you give us no room for error, and we make an error, you ultimately fail to get your product when you want it. So, please plan ahead - it will help you and us.

Rush Orders must be placed in time for us to get the order to the appropriate warehouse before their cutoff time, which MAY require us to have your order AS EARLY AS 10:00 am local time for the appropriate warehouse (policies are set by individual warehouses and are subject to change and interference by pre-existing work load). Sometimes a warehouse may close for inventory or be on a shortened work week. There can also be communication errors or other failures to convey instructions, so orders can be delayed beyond our control. We will attempt to help you with rush orders, but there are NO guarantees, and we are not responsible if the rush fails to occur.

Note regarding expedited shipments: microwave ovens are costly to ship due to their heavy weight. To ship cross country, ground freight generally takes 6 to 8 days. To expedite shipment of our smallest (lightest) microwave (30 pounds) to Los Angeles, as of mid-2005, next day air cost $100, 2nd day air cost $70, 3 day select cost $50 (subject to change by shipping companies without notice). Smaller, lighter items are much more reasonable to expedite. Unique products ship from unique warehouses around the US. Normal, estimated shipping times are listed below.

Order Processing / Shipping Time / Origins

SailorSams is headquartered in Sarasota, Florida. Most products ship direct to you from the distributor warehouses, so depending on their location, your location, product availability, product assembly & testing requirements, inspection, special packaging requirements, holidays, seasonal influences (be aware in the busy spring season and at times of large orders, warehouses can experience delays, so order in advance whenever possible), as well as the shipping method, some items may be delivered in a day or two, while other items may take a couple of weeks to receive under normal circumstances (longer if on back-order). General guidelines for each supplier are listed below. You are welcome to call with part numbers for more specifics. Of course, most product shipments can be expedited - call to confirm availability and get a freight quote - toll free 877-230-7353 or 941-378-0330.

Keep in mind, there is Order Processing Time plus Shipping Time. Average Order Processing Times are listed in the chart below. Shipping within the same geographic region typically take 2 to 3 business days in transit, while cross-country shipments generally take 5 to 7 business days. Products are typically shipped by UPS Ground or FedEx Ground (or freight carrier for large items). Large orders and back-orders can obviously be exceptions.

For an estimate of "time in transit", you can use the following tool in conjunction with the supplier zip code from below: UPS Ground Maps. For more detailed information, including estimated shipping costs: UPS Calculate Time and Cost. In Section 1, make a selection. In Section 2 enter the appropriate supplier "Ship From" zip code (See below), your "Ship To" country and zip code, etcetera as requested. Select a realistic shipping date under "When are you shipping" (refer to Time to Process below), Enter "Total Shipment Weight" (enter 1 if unknown, so you can get a time response from them) and if unknown, enter 1 for "Customs Value" if they ask, and click Next. If they have further questions, they will ask.
