These marine refrigerators are generally 12 Volt Refrigerators / 24 Volt Refrigerators, and often have optional 120 volt / 230 volt modules that can be added to convert any of them into an AC-DC Refrigerator. To conserve battery power, they automatically sense the presence of AC power, and run off the AC power whenever available, automatically switch to DC power any time the AC gets disconnected, and automatically switch back to AC power whenever it becomes available again.

Indel Isotherm Marine Refrigerators (Cruise Refrigerators):

Many of these marine grade refrigerators, freezers and ice makers are available in standard or Stainless Steel (INOX).

The compressor should normally stand upright in the boat, but will operate at an angle of heel up to 30° and for short periods even more.
