Additional Information:

Formed out of high quality steel plate. Contains no cast parts.
Shank and shank boot are welded from top and bottom.
Shank and roll bar are bolted to the fluke.
ASTM certified steel bolts are oversized with a large margin to ensure safety.
Although the shank is attached to the fluke with 4 bolts, a single bolt has sufficient strength to handle the maximum expected load on the anchor.
In the mild steel version every part of the anchor system is hot-dipped galvanized for corrosion protection. (All shanks are HT Steel as of Dec 2013)
Sharp-headed nose is precision machined to achieve the perfect chisel shape to achieve maximum penetrating power.

Pound for Pound the Best Anchor I've ever used

This anchor is the bomb! It's a little heavy (I ordered the 25 lb version to hold my 23 ft boat) but it doesn't drag or slip and requires very little rode. The only negative is the shear size. It doesn't fit in my front opening beneath the seat so I had to put in in the rear and use a heavy duty carabiner to quick connect it.

overkill

I bought this anchor for a 26' glacier bay in the florida keys. After setting it a few times, it's clear that I could have gone with the lighter one. This anchor sets immediately and fortunately I have a windless to get it back. I may try this on our 45' boat that has a aluminum dauntless but doesn't always set well in the grass.
