3 nautical mile LED Masthead & Anchor light is used as a masthead (225 degree steaming) navigation light or as an anchor light. High quality and versatile light with included 360 degree mounting bracket and switch.

Combination masthead / anchor light was designed with uncompromised quality and utility in mind - and it delivers. US Coast Guard certification for 3 NM.

This light should be mounted atop the mast without any obstructions in (360 degrees) around the light. This navigation light is not used as a stern light.

The combination masthead with anchor is a 3 wire installation and uses 2 printed circuit boards (2 separate circuits) - one for the masthead light and the second for the anchor light, both must be turned on for the anchor light.

To use as an anchor light, the steaming (225*) light needs to be turned on as well as the stern (135 deg.) navigation light. Turning both circuits will give you 225* + 135* = 360 deg. all round anchor navigation light.

Black wire is battery negative (minus) common to both red and white wires.

Red wire is battery positive (plus) & is switched on or off for the masthead (225deg, steaming) light.

White wire is battery positive (plus) & is switched on or off for the stern (135deg) light and is used only when used as an anchor light.

Mount masthead light over the fore and aft center line to provide unbroken light over an arc of 225 degrees providing 22.5 degrees abaft the beam on either sides of the vessel.

For vessels less than 39 feet (12 meters), the masthead should be placed as nearly as practicable to the fore and aft centerline of the vessel.
